The Spring Equinox has arrived! Celebrate this amazing planet we share with a hike to wake up spring. For children ages 2-4 with a caregiver. This hike led by Shawn Severance. Did you know that a blue jay isn’t actually blue? But how? Join Naturalist, Kelsey Dehring, as we answer these questions and search for colorful, and some not so colorful, creatures. Enjoy nature’s quiet in a mindfulness hike based on the practice of Shinrin-Yoku. We will hike in a walking meditation enjoying hints of spring in the air, and learning simple exercises that can be done at any time to bring about expanded awareness and connection to the peace of the present moment. Hike will end with a tea ceremony. This guided movement meditation will be led by Julie Woodward, MA, MSW. Julie is a meditation and yoga instructor, U of M Health Educator, and Co-founder of Mindful City Ann Arbor. ***WE'LL MEET AT THE MEDFORD RD PAVILION***
