On October 19, 2011, Felicia Brabec was appointed to the Board of Commissioners. This is Commissioner Brabec’s first public office and she is proud to serve District 4 which encompasses Pittsfield Township.
Commissioner Brabec earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from The Illinois School of Professional Psychology, her master’s in Clinical Social Work from Boston College and her bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Anthropology from Saint Mary’s of Notre Dame. She is a local small business owner who runs her private practice in Washtenaw County.
Commissioner Brabec believes that in order to thrive, a community needs good education, human service and public safety systems as well as a healthy economy. In adherence to that belief Commissioner Brabec currently serves as a member on the following boards:

Southeastern Michigan Council of Governments (SEMCOG)
Sustainable Revenue for Supportive Housing Services Task Force
Commissioner Brabec strives to accurately represent her constituents’ issues at the board table. She views herself as a conduit between residents and the information they need to address and resolve issues. Commissioner Brabec recognizes that the financial difficulties facing the county are important to her constituents. She has and continues to work with her colleagues and county staff to address the county’s financial issues so that the county remains financially viable.
Commissioner Brabec lives in Pittsfield Township with her husband, David, and their two young children.
