Seasonal flu vaccine is available at the Washtenaw County Health Department.

Flu Shot (Injection)

  • Children under 4: $30
  • Children 4 years & older and adults: FREE. While supplies last. If you have Medicaid or Blue Cross Blue Shield, we will bill your insurance, but there will be no out-of-pocket cost.
  • All vaccine at Washtenaw County Health Department is quadrivalent (covers two influenza A strains and two B strains).

Payment Options

Washtenaw County Health Department accepts Medicaid and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan. Please have your card when scheduling and bring it with you to your appointment.

Currently, we cannot bill other private insurance but will provide you with a receipt. We accept cash, checks or Visa and Mastercard. If using cash, please bring bills smaller than $50.

We are unable to bill Medicare Part B, so participants must go to a physician or pharmacy for their flu shot.

Who Should Get Vaccinated?

  • The seasonal flu vaccine is recommended for everyone 6 months of age and older
