The Juvenile Court Division plays an important role in holding juveniles accountable for their criminal acts as well as protecting children from abuse and neglect. In handling both delinquency and child protective proceedings, our Office consults with:
Children's Protective Services workers
Department of Human Services (previously Family Independent Agency)
Foster care workers
Witnesses as necessary
They also answers questions from the public, media and other sources as needed. After a review of submitted police reports for legal sufficiency of criminal charges, our Office will prosecute all authorized juvenile delinquency and status offense (runaways and truants) cases. You may send any inquiries to Brian Mackie.
