LADIES’ NIGHT OUT
The Downtown Merchants Association is sponsoring the Ladies’ Night Out event on Thursday, February 8, 2007 from 3 PM to 8 PM in Downtown Saline. There will be in-store promotions, drawings for gifts in each store and restaurant, and the restaurants will feature special items on their menus. There will also be bonus prizes available at many merchants. In addition, there will be jewelry artists, information on art classes, cosmetics and beauty services, and a massage therapist.

ICE CARVING EXHIBITION
Main Street Area Association sponsors an “Ice Carving Exhibition” featuring students from the University of Michigan Ice Carving team. They will display their talents in the Main Street area downtown Ann Arbor. Watch as they carve sculptures on the sidewalks in front of your favorite stores and restaurants on Main, Liberty, Washington, Fourth Avenue and Ashley. Businesses sponsoring sculptures are located at: Affinity Wealth Solutions, 122 S. Main; Main Street Tees at 220 S. Main; These student carvers are diverse and their interests are varied. When they’re not carving ice they are studying kinesiology, French, environmental science and film at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.

WOMEN'S WEEKEND DOWNTOWN
Main Street Area Association in downtown Ann Arbor honors the women in our community by hosting "Women's Weekend Downtown" on Feb 9 and 10 featuring special activities for the special women in our lives and their families! Safehouse (a local non profit agency providing service to victims of domestic violence) will be hosting The Vagina Monologues at the Ark on February 9 at 8pm and the 10th at 2pm, 2007. This event is a fundraiser for Safehouse featuring local talent directed by Grace Morand, featuring stars from the Purple Rose Theater (Suzi Regan), Performance Network (Carla Milarch) and Civic Theater (Phyllis Sright and Jennifer White) as well as guest appearances by various local women including Letitia Byrd, Ingrid Sheldon, Connie Huber, Patricia Garcia and Ellie Serras. Tickets are available at the SafeHouse Center, call 734-973-0242 ext 277 or ext 202 or at the Ark or at Herb David Guitar Studio. Other special activities during the weekend include: UM Ice Carving Team exhibiting their talents as they carve sculptures from huge blocks of ice in front of businesses in the Main Street area from 6-10pm on the 9th and from noon to 5pm on the 10th: Ann Arbor School of Yoga at 420 W. Huron, is offering a Free Trial Yoga Class for Women on Saturday Feb 10 from 5:15-6:45 pm. Arbor Brewing Company at 114 E. Washington will donate 20% of purchases by ticket-holders Feb 9 and 10. Conor O'Neill's Tradiational Irish Pub at 318 S. Main will donate 10% of all food sales to Safehouse on Feb 9 and 10. Footprints at 217 S. Main, all winter boots and related footwear at 20% off regular prices and any new spring arrivals at 10% off.

DEXTER PIONEER ARTS FAIR
This juried show features over 50 artisans who demonstrate their traditional folk crafts and offer them for sale. Included are weaving, quilting, wool rug hooking, paper quilling, water color, jewelry, wood carving, basket making, spinning, needle felting, lace making, broom making, and fly tying. A lunch will be served at noon by the Dexter Garden Club and a bake sale will be held throughout the morning. The Fair is sponsored by the Dexter Area Historical Society, and proceeds support the work of the society and the maintenance of the museum.

Bring the family to Ypsilanti’s Riverside Park for a day of fun at the Michigan Firehouse Museum’s 5th annual Fire Truck Muster and Pump-In. ANNUAL MILAN HOLIDAY PARADE
The annual MIlan Holiday Parade, sponsored by the Milan Area Chamber of Commerce, lights up downtown Milan with Smiles and laughter, as the nearly hour long parade delights young and old alike. The parade will include, floats, music, costumes, Arabian Horses with festive lights, And the annual arrival of Santa on Thomas the Train!!! Ends with a Christmas City Tree lighting; and a chance for photos with Santa for your little ones, in Santas warm room at the old fire barn, 153 E. Main St. (Chamber office). Fun events along the Park Lane.

The Saline Craft Show, in its 20th year, is rated as one of the top 10 shows in Michigan. Over 135 craft persons will showcase their most recent and exceptional work which includes decorative painting, stoneware, rugs, birdhouses, holiday decorating ideas, ceramics, calligraphy and clothing.
